Tomás Sidenfaden is the third generation of his family to place roots in Los Angeles. After immigrating to America in the 1850s, his ancestors began a long westward journey from New York to Kentucky and Idaho before eventually settling in LA in the 1920s. His family has called LA County its home for more than a hundred years now, and Tomás is carrying on the tradition with his own family.

He spent the early part of his career in the music industry, advancing the evolution of music technology to support artists, audio engineers, producers, and DJs as a merchant and product manager for LA-based specialty retail chain Guitar Center. As a self-taught software engineer, he helped deliver a best-in-class collaboration platform to serve LA's film and television industry. On nights and weekends he built the first platform to use artificial intelligence to reveal bias in news media at the article level in real-time.

Tomás is an LA native through and through. He has hiked every foot trail and fire road in the Santa Monica mountains. He has surfed every stretch of coast in LA County. He has lived or worked from downtown LA to the Westside to Westlake Village for almost 30 years. As a new father, he is raising his son here with his wife, a first generation immigrant from Iran.

He believes unequivocally that Los Angeles can be the best city in the world and is eager for his chance to prove it.
